Here
at the Inland Seas School of Kayaking, we are very interested in
getting people introduced correctly to the ever-growing sport of
sea kayaking. We also want to challenge more advanced kayakers to
develop their skills by taking some of our advanced classes. Because we believe that people tend to protect something when they understand, appreciate, and respect it, we include an environmental approach to everything we do.
Our
goal is to provide sea kayak instruction and educational tours
at all levels in order to promote safety on the water and
a protective attitude toward our environment.
We
are a complete outfitter offering guided trips as well as sea kayak
instruction. We provide well-maintained, quality kayaks and equipment for all classes and trips.
For
the beginner we can paddle the well-protected harbor area or the blue-green waters of Little Sand Bay.
For the intermediate paddler,
we can explore one of the surrounding islands while working on skills
and rescues.
For the more advanced, we can visit the outer islands,
develop your roll, or do some surfing.
Most trips do not require prior experience. Great fun for kids, families, and friends. Enjoy our lakes and island archipelago. We also provide opportunities for the experienced paddler.
We also run eco-tours on the beautiful inland lakes in recreational kayaks designed for the entire family. Join us as we explore the lakes and discover unique plant and animal life. Bring your cameras and binoculars and join in the fun.
