Clothing & Equipment
Day Trips - a swimsuit, hat, sunglasses,
sunscreen, lipscreen, water bottle, lightweight rain jacket if raining,
and water shoes. If cool, bring a long-sleeve shirt made of capilene,
polypropylene or other synthetic material to be worn under your
rain jacket. (We have some paddling jackets available). Avoid cotton
as it retains moisture and can make you cold. Bring a camera if
you like but we recommend the disposable waterproof ones. Have a
set of dry clothes ready back at your car or in the kayak shack
for when we return.
Day Trips - The same as half-day
trips plus: additional water and snacks. We provide lunch.
- Bring everything listed for half and full-day trips. We provide
all tents, tarps, sleeping pads, cooking gear, stoves, dry bags,
other camping gear, and food. However, you must bring your own sleeping
bag. Your sleeping bag should be the kind you can stuff - not the
kind you have to roll up as they take up too much room.
ask you to limit the amount of personal items.
forget medications and a good book or magazine.
